Cocktail ring designed by Peter Lindeman (1930-2024).

This is a gorgeous modernist cocktail ring, created in New York City by the artist and goldsmith Peter Lindeman, back in the 1970. The unusual ring was carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with textured finish. The design is composed by six geometric scrolls and embellished with two white colorless diamonds.

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark associated to Peter Lindeman, the mark for the assay and warranty of the .750/.999 gold and signed as follows, "©PL 18KT".

Peter Lindeman 

He was born in Berlin. Lindeman grew up in Montevideo, Uruguay, apprenticing with a fine European firm. In 1947, at the age of 17, he headed to New York, where he worked for several high-end jewelers. After selling his designs to some of the most renowned businesses in the fine jewelry industry, Peter Lindeman set out to make a name for himself. Between crafting some truly innovative designs and developing new methods for reaching customers, both skill and hard work led to acclaim for his jewelry. His workshop supplied pieces to retailers such as Tiffany & Co., Shreve, Crump & Lowe, and Bailey Banks & Biddle. In 1955, he started designing his own jewelry and created his signature hallmark – a teardrop with an “L” placed on the back of every piece. He was very active in New York city from the 1947 to the early 1970's. He was one of the very fine first called brand named jewelry designer and he has jewelry pieces exhibited in the permanent collection of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. As a note he was the personal jeweler of Elvis Presley and made for him many customized pieces and other extravagant pieces. He specializes in creations from the nature like animal, flowers and stones.
