Designer gem set modern cocktail ring.

Great statement contemporary piece, crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with a crown made of .900/.999 platinum, all finished with high polish. This oversized one of of a kind cocktail ring has been carefully assembled and mounted with very fine gemstones.

Mount in the center in a caged four prongs setting, with an oval brilliant cut (26.3 x 17.75 x 13.89 mm) of a natural purplish Kunzite of 41.96 carats.

Accented at the sides with floating settings mounted with natural diamonds; 6 tapered baguettes and 4 round brilliant cut, for a combined weight of 0.60 carats, F/G color, VS-2 clarity.

Has a total weight of 19.8 Grams and the actual size is 8, sizeable. The top view measures are 26.5 mm by 25 mm (1.04 x 1 Inches) and raise 15 mm over the finger.

Stamped, with the maker's mark and the hallmarks for the assay of the gold and the platinum, "18KT PLAT 5087".

It’s named after famed gemologist George Frederick Kunz (1856-1932) mineralogist and director of the company Tiffany & Co of New York, who was the first to identify it as a unique variety of spodumene.
