Unique and one-of-a-kind sculptural ring, created in Vancouver Canada by the artist goldsmith Karl Stittgen, back in the 1970. This ultra modernist cocktail ring was crafted with geometric patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and accents in white gold for the settings of the gemstones. All surfaces are finished with textured and polished finishes and is embellished with a very rare indicolite blue tourmaline and three natural earth mined diamonds.
Diamonds: Mount in bezel settings, with 3 round brilliant cut diamonds, 0.11 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS-2 clarity.
Tourmaline: Mounted in a bezel setting, with 1 rectangular step cut (10 x 6 x 5 mm) of a natural blue indicolite tourmaline of 2.47 carats.
Birthstone: Tourmaline for the month of October.
Weight: 15.45, (9.91 Dwt.).
Size: 7 and can be easy resized.
Measurements: 12 by 20 mm (0.59 x 0.79 Inches) and raise 12.50 mm over the finger.
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "STITTGEN .750".
Karl Stittgen
He is a German Canadian based, jeweler, goldsmith and artist that emigrated from Germany to Canada in the early 1950s, He stablished himself as a prominent jeweler and watchmaker in West Vancouver and his creations soon gained global recognition and consequently he opened additional Stittgen stores in Calgary, New York and San Francisco. In his golden years, he trained many master goldsmiths who carry on his traditions and techniques today. Karl Stittgen profound impact on both local and international jewelry design was honored in 2009, when he received the creative achievement award of distinction at the 5th annual British Columbia creative achievement awards for applied art and design. Though now essentially retired, his legacy continues: Stittgen fine jewelry maintains the founder’s signature contemporary style and dedication to exceptional workmanship, further allowing these distinctive designs to be deservedly appreciated by a new generation of collectors. and, as with any truly exceptional fine jewelry brand, the creations stand the test of time.
