Deco-Retro geometric ring from the machine age period.

Stunning and unusual geometric piece, created during the late art-deco and the retro periods, back in the 1935. This cocktail ring has been crafted with bold volumetric patterns in solid white gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. The manufacture and the way in which this precious ring was made is impeccable. Created with well-defined geometric volumes with their sharp rectilinear angles and their circular curves. The settings of the diamonds are finished with the millegrain technique.

Diamonds: Mounted in the center, with 1 round European cut diamonds, 0.95 carat, white colorless G/H color, SI-1 clarity.

Diamonds: Mounted in flush millegrain settings, with 56 European round cut diamonds, 1.16 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS-2 clarity

Sapphire: Mounted in bezel settings, with 4 round cabochon cut of natural blue sapphires, 0.43 carats

Weight: 21.95 Grams, (14.07 Dwt).

Size: 8.5 and is sizeable.

Measurements: 33 mm by 22 mm (0.91 X 1.15 Inches) and raise 11 mm over the finger.

Hallmarks: Unmarked, tested for 18kt white gold.

Note: Immediately after the first world war, the creation of jewelry with geometric patterns inspired by the tracks of the war tanks became very fashionable. The synthesis of these designs were adapted during the art deco period and after the post-war, sometimes called machine age because the strong volumetric shapes.

NoteMillegrain is a jewelry technique which refers to the textural effect of a close-set line of metal beads that are typically used as a border on the edges or bezels of jewelry.
