Austrian cocktail ring with Neptune.

This is a very handsome and unusual ring, created in Vienna Austria during the art deco period, back in the 1930's. This beautiful cocktail ring was crafted in solid .835/.999 silver with high polished finish. The design show the bust of Neptune, the god of the seas in profile holding a trident. 

Neptune

Neptune was the Roman god of waters and seas, who controlled winds and storms. Also known as Neptunus Equester, he was recognized as a god of horses and horsemanship, as well as patron of horse racing, a popular form of entertainment for the ancient Romans. As a sea god, Neptune is able to manipulate water at will, breathe oxygen/underwater, and communicate with all forms of sea life. He usually arms himself with a 6' 5" long enchanted trident, capable of divine magic.

Measurements: Diameter of 22 mm (0.87 Inches) and raise 6 mm over the finger

Hallmarks: Stamped with Austrian post 1922 marks, the maker's mark and the mark W3 for the Viennese assay of the 0.835/.999 silver.

Collateral: This ring is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

ConditionThe overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the silver. All parts are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
