An art deco platinum ring with sapphires
This is a beautiful antique cocktail ring, created in America during the art-deco period, back in the late 1920's. The beautiful ring was crafted in solid platinum and mounted with a great selection of fifty-five natural gemstones, such; European diamonds and French cut blue sapphires. The ring is designed with geometric shapes and the gem's settings are finished with millegrain patterns.
Diamond: Mount on top in millegrain bezel setting, with 5 larger European round cut diamond of 1.45 carats, white colorless F color, VS/SI clarity.
Diamonds: Mount in the corners in millegrain bezel settings, with 16 European round cut diamonds, 1.32 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS/SI clarity.
Sapphires: Mount in channel settings, with 34 caliber French baguette cut of natural royal blue sapphires, with a weight of about 2.38 carats.
Birthstone: Sapphires for the month of September.
Weight: 11.5 Grams, (7.4 Dwt).
Size: 7.5 and may be easily sized up or down on special request.
Measurements: 23 mm by 21 mm (0.75 x 0.83 Inches) and raise 7 mm over the finger.
Hallmarks: Unmarked as usual and electronically tested for platinum.
Millegrain
This is a jewelry technique which refers to the textural effect of a close-set line of metal beads that are typically used as a border on the edges or bezels of jewelry.
