This is a statement over-sized cocktail ring created in New York City at the jewelry atelier of Andrew Clunn, back in the 1980. The ring was masterfully crafted with a bold look in solid rich yellow gold of 18 karats with hammered finish. It is mount on top with a magnificent cabochon, carved from natural Sardinian coral. The ring's craftsmanship is impeccable, it has an ideal weight, and it will never go unnoticed.
Sardinian Coral
This is a prized red Mediterranean coral known for its deep hues and centuries-old use in jewelry, historically for protection (evil eye, illness) and religious items, with harvests concentrated near Sardinia's Alghero; its harvesting is now strictly regulated by licensed divers using sustainable methods like trimming branches to encourage regrowth, making it a luxury material with deep cultural roots and ongoing conservation focus despite trade challenges.

Coral: Mounted on top in a bezel setting, with 1 oval cabochon cut (28 x 17 x 6mm) carved from natural Sardinian coral with a combined weight of about 21.68 carats. (The weight of the coral was calculated by formula).

Measurements: 35 mm by 28 mm (1.38 x 1.10 Inches) and raise 17 mm over the finger.
Size: Actually is 8.5 and is fitted with a spring ring for sizing adjustment. In addition, the ring may be resized up or down on special request.
Hallmarks Stamped with the maker's mark, the marks for the assay and warranty of the 18Kt yellow gold and signed as follows, "A. CLUNN 18KT".
Andrew Clunn
He was born in England and moved to the United States where he worked as an apprentice to David Webb from 1963 until Webb’s death in 1975. During his 12 years of apprenticeship, he became a trusted employee and eventually become Webb's right-hand man and worked with well-known clients including Elizabeth Taylor and the Duchess of Windsor. In 1980, Clunn opened his own jewelry studio on Madison Avenue in New York City specializing in unique and distinctive jewelry designs for distinguished families in Europe and North America. He died in February 2016 in Rye,
