A cocktail ring designed by Amsterdam Sauer.

This is a fabulous cocktail ring created by the Amsterdam Sauer company, back in the 2000. The setting of this modernist ring has been carefully crafted with classic patterns in solid white gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. It is embellished in the center with one gorgeous emerald cut of a Brazilian Santa-Maria intense blue aquamarine, accented at the sides with a well matched pair of bright white colorless trillions cuts of earth mined natural diamonds. The total combined weight of the gemstones is 16.85 carats.

Santa Maria Aquamarine

This kind of aquamarine is one of the oldest and most expensive color of aquamarine. Their trade-name comes from Brazil. They have one of the deepest blue tones which is natural and not treated. The deeper the color is more expensive. An emerald-cut aquamarine like this, very clean, well cut, of a deep blue Santa Maria color is known as the most expensive and highly appraised aquamarine colour.

Amsterdam Sauer

The company is one of the most prominent Brazilian jewelers, Amsterdam Sauer is the premier natural coloured gemstone specialist in South America. In 1939, an 18-year-old Frenchman named Jules Roger Sauer decided to start afresh in Brazil. He arrived and immediately fell in love with the colourful and enigmatic world of gemstones. This was the beginning of a long and rewarding journey. In 1941, Lapidação Amsterdam Limitada was founded, which changed the landscape of the Brazilian haute jewellery scene. In 1966, Amsterdam Sauer was the first South American jeweller to win the Diamonds International Award - the most prestigious recognition in international jewellery - for its Constellation ring, created by designer Marcel Küng. The firm was awarded twice more, in 1992 for the Luna bracelet created by Iany Inoue, and in 2000, for the Fireworks necklace by designer Bialice Duarte.
