VICTORIAN 1870 European Carriage Brooch 14Kt Gold Silver Diamonds & Rubies
Victorian carriage brooch with diamonds.
This is a beautiful antique brooch created in Europe during the Victorian period, back in the 1870. The brooch has been designed in the shape of a carriage with a horse, masterfully crafted in yellow gold of 14 karats and silver for the settings of the diamonds. The brooch is embellished with a great assortment of natural earth mined gemstones, such: two red rubies and forty-seven European mixed cuts diamonds. The brooch is fitted at the reverse with a horizontal hinged pin-bar with a mechanical twisted security lock.
Diamonds: Mount in pave settings, with 46 mixed European and rose cuts diamonds, with a total weight of about 1.15 carats, white colorless G/F color, VS/SI/I clarity.
Diamonds: Mount in a bezel setting, with 1 French square rose cuts diamond, with a weight of about 0.75 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS/SI clarity.
Rubies: Mounted in a flush setting, with 2 European faceted cut red rubies, with a total weight of about 0.04 carats.
Weight: 10.6 Grams, (6.80 Dwt).
Measurements: 38 mm by 32 mm by 8 mm (1.50 x 1.26 x 0.32 Inches).
Hallmarks: Unmarked, electronically tested for 14 gold, 15 kt gold and silver.
