This is a gorgeous sculptural piece of jewelry, created by Elsa Peretti for the Tiffany Studios, back in the 1981. This convertible and useful pendant-buckle was part of the iconic and popular collection from the late 70's named The Eternal Circle. The pendant was carefully crafted in .925/.999 sterling silver with mirrored high polished finish. Designed with very sleek patterns, in a free-form shape with a strong inspiration and reminiscence to the German-French sculptor Jean Arp. This piece is very versatile since can be used as a huge dangle pendant or as a belt buckle. This model is no longer in production, since the 1981.
Eternal Circle
A band or ring is also commonly used as a symbol for eternity, as is the mathematical symbol of infinity. Symbolically these are reminders that eternity has no beginning or end.
