Pendant brooch designed by Donald Claflin for Tiffany & Co.

Gorgeous piece, created in New York city at the Tiffany Studios, back in the 1970's. This beautiful pendant brooch has been crafted by Donald Claflin in solid yellow gold of 18 karats. It is suited at the reverse, with a bale to wear in a chain and a hinged horizontal pin with a trombone lock to wear as a brooch.

The design is composed by multiples T's, arranged in 4 multi-levels rows, creating a fabulous three dimensional effect.

Has a total weight of 54.9 Grams and a diameter of 73 mm (2.88 Inches).

Stamped, with the maker's mark, the gold assay hallmark and signed, "TIFFANY & CO, 18KT".

Donald Claflin (1935-1979) was an American jewelry designer most associated with the colorful and whimsical designs he created for tiffany & co. during the sixties and seventies. His start in jewelry came when he joined the firm of David Webb, known for their buoyantly enameled figurative jewels that were a fresh contrast to the formality of the fifties. In 1965 Claflin was hired by tiffany & co. to continue in the innovative and individualistic design approach that designer Jean Schlumberger had so successfully established at the firm.

Condition: The overall condition of this pendant/brooch is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. This pendant/brooch has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
