TIFFANY & CO. 1935 Retro Modernist Brooch In 14Kt Gold Sapphires & Aquamarine

 A post war retro-modern pendant brooch designed by Tiffany & Co.

This is a great brooch with gorgeous eye appeal created in New York City by the American jewelry house of Tiffany & Co., back in the late 1930's. The brooch was handcrafted during the pre-war period, with retro-modern patterns of multiple curved elements. Masterfully made-up with parts in yellow gold of 14 karats with high polished finish and embellished with three natural blue sapphires and three natural Brazilian blue aquamarines. This piece is fitted at the reverse with double hinge pin bars to wear and secure.

Aquamarines: Mount in four-prongs settings, with 3 well matched oval faceted cut (8 x 6 x 4 mm) blue aquamarines, with a combined weight of about 3.15 carats. The aquamarines are not treated or heated and the weight was calculated by formula.

Birthstone: Sapphires and Aquamarines for the month of September.

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay and warranty of the .585/.999 yellow gold and signed as follows: "TIFFANY & CO. 14KT".

Collateral: This Tiffany & Co. pendant-brooch is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

Condition: The overall condition of this Tiffany & Co. brooch is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The 6 gemstones are secured in the settings. This brooch was carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
