Italy 1960 Mid Century Pendant In 18Kt Gold With Diamonds And Carved Coral

An organic motifs pendant, with Coral & Diamonds.

Beautiful piece created in Italy during the mid-century period, circa 1960. The mounting has been created with intricates organics motifs in solid 18 karats of textured yellow gold. suited at the reverse on top, with a fixed hook bale of 14 mm to use in a chain. 

The main element is the portrait bust of a young lady (42 x 27 mm) carved from natural Sardinian red coral.

The mounting is accented around, with 7 four-prongs settings that are holding round brilliants cut diamonds, 0.42 carats, F/G color, VS-2 clarity

This piece is pretty heavy and large with a weight of 48.95 grams and a measures of 60 mm by 43 mm by 25.5 mm (2.36 x 1.69 x 1.01 inches).

It is in perfect condition with all the original vintage patina intact. The coral carving is reddish from Sardinia in southern Italy.

Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

Condition: The overall condition of this brooch is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All the gemstones, are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
