An Op-Art pendant watch by George L'Enfant for Rolex Watch Co.

A fantastic and extremely rare piece, created in Paris France at the atelier of L'Enfant for the Rolex Watch Co, back in the 1970's. This pendant watch has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats depicting a design of curvilinear Op-art patterns. It is suited on top, with a movable bale to wear into a chain.

The design hides a secret cover that, when pushed, activates the mechanism to open and reveal the watch inside. The watch is a Rolex Cellini, with mechanical winding, plain golden dial and with black arrows.

Has a total weight of 64.7 Grams and a measurements of 55 mm by 65 mm (2.16 x 2.56 Inches).

Stamped, with French hallmarks, the eagle's head for the assay and guaranty of the 18kt gold, the maker's maitre cartouche GL associated to the atelier of George L'Enfant and signed in full, "ROLEX GENEVE CELLINI SWISS 18 KT".
