The house of Chaumet

The French born jeweler, Marie-Etienne Ninot began his career as an assistant court-jeweler to the queen Marie Antoinette. In 1780, he moved to Paris and founded the House of Chaumet and was appointed as jeweler to emperor Napoleon in 1802. During this period, Ninot became one of the most popular jewelers in Europe, establishing a loyal and continuous prestigious clientele. Today the house remains as a luxury jewelry house under the name Chaumet Paris. At the beginning of the modernist era between the end of the 60's and the beginning of the 70's, many jewelry houses, such as Cartier, Kutchinsky and Chaumet experimented with exceptional modernist designs, this brooch is one of them which we consider magnificent and very elegant.

Collateral: This brooch is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

ConditionThe overall condition of this Chaumet brooch is excellent. Besides the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The chrysoprase is secured in their settings. This brooch has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
