Boucheron 1960 Paris Turtle Brooch In 18Kt Gold With 15.24 Cts Sapphires And Emeralds

A turtle brooch pin designed by Boucheron.

Fabulous rare vintage piece, created in Paris France by the jewelry house of Boucheron, back in the late 1950's-1960. This one of a kind brooch has been crafted in the shape of a lovely turtle in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and embellished with natural gemstones. Fitted at the reverse with a hinged double pin bars with a mechanical twisted lock for safety.

Gemstones: The body of the turtle is mounted with 19 Cabochon cut of natural vivid blue sapphires with a combined weight of 15.2 carats. The sapphires are gems quality most probably from Kashmir or Pailin provenance

Others: The eyes of the turtle are bezel set with a pair of Colombian green emeralds, .04 Carats

Weight: 12.98 Grams, (8.32 Dwt).

Measurements: From the top view 35 mm by 20 mm (1.38 x 0.79 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with French national marks, the serial numbers and signed, "BOUCHERON 1032"
