Edwardian art nouveau enamel flowers pendant-brooch.

This is a really fantastic three-dimensional antique brooch with flowers, created in America during the Edwardian and the Art Nouveau periods, back in the 1900-1910. This rare beautiful pendant brooch is very unusual due the size and the multiple flowers style motif. Has been carefully crafted as a bouquet of one pansy and three marguerites in solid yellow gold of 14 karats with textures. The flowers are embellished with applications of purple and white enamels. The enamel work is exceptional and meticulous, far exceeding the details of the fibers and veins of the leaves. It is a little jewel with exquisite and exceptional details. The piece is fitted at the reverse with a concealed vertical hinged pin bar with a security lock to wear as a brooch.

Diamond: Mount in a six-prongs setting, with 1 European rose cut diamonds, 0.06 Carats, white colorless F/G color, VS-2 clarity.

Weight: 4.85 Grams (3.12 Dwt).

Measurements: 43 mm by 16 mm by 8 mm (1.69 x 0.63 x 0.31 Inches).

Hallmarks: Unmarked, electronically tested for 14kt gold, .585/.999 Au.

Edwardian Jewelry

This period was during the King Edward VII, after whom this period of jewelry history is named, reigned over England for only nine years, yet the style of jewelry known as “Edwardian” was created roughly between 1890 and 1920. Edwardian-era rings tend to be larger, opulent pieces, and stacked ring designs were popular. The metal surfaces of the rings were often diamond-encrusted for additional shimmer. Each of these rings is a work of art, showcasing a bygone era of grace, elegance and the royalty the Edwardian era is named for.

Collateral: This brooch is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

Condition: The overall condition of this flower brooch is impeccable. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The enamel is perfect. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
