Pendant-brooch designed by Angela Cummings.

This a very unusual and rare pendant-brooch created by Angela Cummings, back in the 1985. This piece is very sculptural and has been designed with organic patterns in the shape of a long green bean pod. It was beautifully carved from natural translucent green jadeite and mounted in a customized frame, carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. The piece is fitted at the reverse with a hinged pin bar and a security trombone lock to wear as a brooch and a concealed ring to wear in a chain. Gorgeous piece with a fabulous great eye appeal as you expect from Angela Cummings.

Gemstones: Mount with 1 fancy piece of green jadeite, carved in the shape of green bean pod with an estimate weight of about 25 carats.

Weight: 9.45 Grams, (6.06 Dwt).

Measurements: 57 mm by 16 mm by 6 mm (2.24 x 0.63 x 0.24 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "CUMMINGS 18K".

Angela Cummings

She was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business. This pair is very nice and rare collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.

ConditionThe overall condition of this pendant-brooch is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The jadeite is secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
