ANGELA CUMMINGS Infinite Knots Brooch In 18Kt Gold With Carved Jadeite Jade

Infinite knots brooch designed by Angela Cummings.

This is a beautiful vintage brooch, created in New Yor City by Angela Cummings back in 1985. The brooch has been carefully crafted in the shape of infinite knots  in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. The knots are embellished with carvings of natural jadeite green jade in inlaid settings.  It is fitted at the reverse with hinged double pin bars with a trombone security lock top wear as a brooch. This can be also wear as a pendant in a chain. 

Weight: 40.95 grams (26.25 Dwt).

Measurements: 47 mm by 44 mm (1.85 x 1.73 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped at the reverse with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the .750/.999 gold and signed as follows, "©ANGELA CUMMINGS .750".

Angela Cummings

She was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She takes her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. Now she's retired from the jewelry business. A very nice and rare collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.

Condition: The overall condition of this Angela Cummings brooch is excellent. Besides the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The carvings of jade are secured in their settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
