ANGELA CUMMINGS 1985 Geometric Cufflinks In 18Kt Gold with Gemstones Inlaid

Pair of cufflinks designed by Angela Cummings.

This is a beautiful and rare pair of cufflinks, created in New York city by the iconic jewelry designer Angela Cummings, back in the 1985. These cufflinks have been crafted with round bombe shapes in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polish finish. They are embellished with an inlaid mosaic, composed by thirty-two free-shaped elements, carved from natural white nacre. The cufflinks are fitted with rigid T bars.

Gemstones: Mounted in inlaid settings, with 32 fancy free forms carved from natural white nacre.

Weight: 11.95 grams, (7.68 Dwt.).

Measures: 17 mm by 17 mm by 20 mm (0.67 x 0.67 x 0.79 Inches).

Hallmarks: They are both stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the .750/.999 gold and signed as follow, "©ANGELA CUMMINGS 18KT".

Angela Cummings 

She was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She takes her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business. These earrings are very nice collector's pieces, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.

Condition: The overall condition of these Angela Cummings cufflinks are excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The 32 gemstones are secured in their inlaid settings. This pair has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
