A rare vintage bracelet, designed by Angela Cummings at the Tiffany & Co. studios in New York back in the1982. This one-of-a-kind bracelet was carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with high polished finish. It is suited, with an invisible push lock with a special hinged slash for extra security.
The design is composed by 22 rectangular links, embellished with 86 geometrical cuts carvings of natural white and black nacre, creating a beautiful asymmetric triangular patterns.
Have a total weight of 56.6 grams and fit a wrist up to 6.75 inches (17 Cm).
The width measure is 15.8 mm.
Stamped at the reverse, with the maker's mark, the gold assay hallmarks and signed in full, "T & CO. CUMMINGS 1982 18K".
Angela Cummings was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.
A very nice and rare collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.
Note: We cannot track or found another bracelet similar to this. Most probably is a prototype, never produced since the year 1982 coincide, with the permanently departure of Cummings from Tiffany & Co.
