He moved on to study at Valenza's Istituto Professionale Orafo, obtaining the knowledge and training necessary to start his own atelier. Giuseppe opened his atelier with his sister, Annamaria. Today, this highly successful, world-renowned enterprise is run by Giuseppe and seven family members. Each family member is responsible for a different aspect of the company and each contributes greatly to its success. Picchiotti comments: "Since the very beginning I always liked the idea that one day I would surround myself with my children and relatives to help me with the business."
