Angela Cummings Rare Squared Earrings In 18Kt Yellow Gold With Paula Abalone Shell

Pair of squared earrings designed by Angela Cummings.

An elegant and colorful free-forms shaped pair, crafted back in the 1980's in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with high polished finish. They are suited with comfortable omega backs for fastening clips and if desired the posts option for pierced ears can be easily added.

Mounted into bezels, with a pair of free-forms carvings of natural abalone Paula shell from the philippines islands.

They have a combined weight of 13.95 grams and a squared measures of 25.1 mm (1 inch).

Angela Cummings was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.

A very nice and rare collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.
