Spikes earrings designed by Angela Cummings.

Beautiful and rare pair, created by Cummings back in the 1984 in homage to the famous French designer Suzanne Belperron.

Almost all of Angela Cummings works have a reminiscence and inspiration of talented and iconic women artists of the 20th century such as Georgia O'Keefe, Jean Arp, Suzanne Belperron and Louise Nevelson.

This very unusual pair of earrings was crafted in solid 18 karats of brushed yellow gold and .900.999 platinum with .100/.999 iridium. Suited, with posts for pierced ears (Removable) and omega backs for fastening clips.

Have a total weight of 23.75 grams and a measures of 25.4 mm by 23 mm (1.02 x 0.90 inch).

They are both stamped, with the maker's mark, the assay hallmarks and signed in full, "CUMMINGS 1984 18 K IRID PLAT".

Angela Cummings was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.

A very nice and rare collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.

 Note: This model also exist with lapis lazuli, hematite and black jade, they were never mass produced, with just a couple pieces made.

Collateral: They are accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

Condition: The overall condition of this earrings are excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold or the platinum. This earrings has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
