-Van Cleef & Arpels 1967 Paris Bamboo Clips On Earrings In Solid 18Kt Yellow Gold

Very rare vintage pair of clips-on earrings, created in Paris France by the jewelry house of Van Cleef & Arpels, back in the 1967. They were made at the jewelry atelier of Andre Vassort. The pair has been crafted as a left and right with bamboo patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. They are fitted at the reverse with very comfortable French omega backs for fastening clips and the addition of posts for pierced ears can be easily done. 

Weight: 20.30 Grams, (13.10 Dwt).

Measurements: 23 mm by 21 mm by 12 mm (0.91 x 0.83 x 0.47 Inches).

Hallmarks: They are both stamped with French marks; the maker's mark AV associated to Andre Vassort inside a lozenge cartouche, the eagle's head mark for the assay and warranty of the gold, the five digits serial numbers and signed, "VCA© 67 OR .750 B8466". 

Van Cleef & Arpels by Andre Vassort

The maker’s cartouche AV is associated to the 1950's mark for the atelier of the master jeweler, Andre Vassort. The Mo. Andre Vassort workshop was located in Paris 2, at the 34 in rue Sainte Anne. He collaborates very closely with Boucheron, Cartier, Fred, Perrin and VCA between the 1950’s and 1980’s, the workshop operations were ceased in the 1990's.

Collateral: They are accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

Condition: The overall condition of these earrings is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All parts are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and the authenticity.
