A modern and sculptural beautiful pair, crafted in solid 18 karats of high polished yellow gold. They was conceived as a mirrored swirl pair and suited with hinged omega backs for fastening clips. The posts option for pierced ears can be easily added.

They are mounted with a perfect matched pair of asymmetric swirled elements carved from natural white cacholong opals with a combined weight of 70 carats.

The centers of the carved cacholong are bezel set, with a pair of round brilliants cuts of Brazilian reddish rubelite. The combined weight is 4.60 carats.

Have a total weight of 33.3 grams and a measures of 30 mm (1.18 inches) by 25 mm (1 inch).

Signed with the maker's logo and the hallmarks, "VALENTIN MAGRO .750 18 KT".

Cacholong, is also known as Kalmuck agate, is a form of Opals, although it is often mistaken for agate or chalcedony. A milky white colour with a Mohs harness of about 6, it is used for carving, cameos, etc. Found in Austria, Czech Republic, Mongolia and Uzbekistan, its name possibly comes from a river in Uzbekistan.

The cacholong opals are natural, have even color, with no discolorations and they are in perfect condition.
