Bold cocktail ring designed by Paloma Picasso for Tiffany & Co.
A very sophisticate and rare geometric domed ring, created by Picasso around the 1980's, at her studio a Tiffany & Co. in New York city.
Very aerodynamic and smooth piece, crafted in 18 karats of solid yellow gold, The entire surface is finished with mirrored high polish and bezel set at top, with two oval cuts of natural Brazilian gemstones. A blue aquamarine of 5.74 carats and a green tourmaline of 6.38 carats.
The total weight of this ring is 24.3 grams and the actual size is 7, sizeable.
The top view measures are 21 mm (0.83 inch) by 25 mm (1 inch) and raise 10 mm over the finger.
Signed and tamped and with the maker's and assay hallmarks, "TIFFANY & CO. ,750 C. PALOMA PICASSO".
Daughter of the artists Pablo Picasso and Françoise Gilot, Paloma has been a creative force since the day she was born. This ring is a serious collector's piece, rare and in perfect condition. As a note this model was also produced with other lesser valued colored gemstones, such citrines and amethyst.
