These are a beautiful modernist studs’ earring, created in Australia with semi rectangular baskets shapes in solid yellow gold of 14Kt with high polished finish. They are mounted with a great pair of natural Australian boulder opals and eight white colorless brilliant cuts diamonds. The earrings are fitted at the reverse with gold posts for pierced ears and butterfly push backs

Boulder Opal

Australian boulder opal is unique, rare and extremely colorful. Boulder opal is mined from the large ironstone boulders (big rock) under the ground and that's why we called it 'BOULDER'. Top quality boulder opal may fetch prices of up to AUD $3,500 per carat for a gem quality stone.

Diamonds: Mounted in pave settings, with 8 calibrated, round brilliant cuts diamonds, 0.24 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS clarity.

Opal: Mounted in bezel settings, with 2 fancy free-forms cabochons cuts (18 x 17 x 2.5 mm) carved from natural Australian boulder opals, with an estimate total weight of about 8 carats.

Birthstone: Opal for the month of October.
