Pair of gem set clips-earrings designed by Leo De Vroomen.
This is a beautiful and colorful pair of clips-on earrings, created in London United Kingdom by the jewelry house of Leo De Vroomen, back in the 1998. The pair of clips-earrings was carefully crafted with round shapes in solid yellow gold of 18 karat with high polished finish. The earrings are mounted with two natural earth mined orange-yellow citrines and are decorated with engine turned guilloche, which is topped with applications of vivid green hot enamel. They are fitted at the reverse with French omega backs for fastening clips and the optional posts for pierced ears can be easily added.
Citrines: Mount in the centers into bezels settings, with 2 oval cabochon cut (13.5 x 9.8 x 7 mm) of natural Brazilian vivid orange citrines, with a combined total weight of about 14 carats.
Weight: 32.1 grams, (20.60 Dwt).
Measures: 28 mm by 20 mm (1.10 X 0.78 Inches).
Hallmarks: They are both stamped with British marks; the London city mark, the letter Y for the production year of 1998, the maker's mark and signed in full as follow, "DE VROOMEN .750 Y L.D.V.".
Guilloché
This term is used in fine jewelry to enhance the appearance of brooches, rings and pendants. Guilloché enamel refers to metal pieces that have been given the Guilloché treatment and then covered with a translucent layer of enamel, giving the geometric patterns underneath the enamel a colorful hue.
