Beautiful set of 4 table cards holders designed by Karl Richard Klemm for Dresden.

A pre WW I pieces made in Dresden Germany during the art nouveau period, back in the 1910. These menu-cards holders was designed by the studio of Karl Richard Klemm and crafted in white glazed porcelain, depicting the figures of four different dragonfly. They are decorated with light blue colors tonalities and finished with 24 karats gold gilding details.

Stamped at the bottom parts with the old blue crowned seal for Dresden and has the original paper label, "Porzellan Dresden-a Prager str.37 r65.-", (Dresden porcelain-a Prager street 37). probably the 65 is for the reich marks cost amount from the period.

During the course of the 19th century, more than 40 competing studios produced Dresden figurines and other porcelain ware. The distinctive Dresden blue crown mark, which was registered in 1883, was used by four artists and studios in particular: Karl Richard Klemm, Donath & Co., Oswald Lorenz and Adolf Hamman. Between 1855 and 1944, other artists also used the crown logo, including Franziska Hirsch, Ambrosius Lamm, Carl Thieme and Helena Wolfsohn. Subsequently, Wolfsohn adapted the logo she used to that of the crown together with a scripted letter "D."

Each one has an average measurements are 44.5 mm by 70 mm (1.75 x 2.75 inches).
