Sculptural pair of clips earrings designed by Elizabeth Gage.

The beautiful pair of clips-on earrings was created in London England by the jewelry designer Elizabeth Gage, back in the 1985. These colorful earrings have been crafted in solid rich yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. Embellished with a great assortment of gemstones, such; eighteen white colorless diamonds, two vivid blue topazes and two cultured white pearls. They are fitted at the reverse with hinged omega backs for fastening clips and the addition of gold posts for pierced ears can be easily done. Great vintage pair of earrings 

Diamonds: Mount in flush settings, with 18 graduated round brilliant cut diamonds, 1.08 carats, white colorless F color, VS clarity.

Topaz: Mounted in bezel settings, with 2 oval faceted cut (10 x 6 x 5 mm) of natural Brazilian blue topazes with an estimate total weight of 5.60 carats.

Pearls: Mounted in bezel settings, with 2 cultured round white pearls of 7 mm.

Birthstone: Blue topaz for the month of December.

Weight: 26.95 Grams, (17.28 Dwt).

Measurements: 32 mm by 23 mm by 9 mm (1.26 x 0.91 x 0.35 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with British crown marks for the city of London (Lion), the maker's mark EG associated to Elizabeth Gage, the mark for the assay and warranty of the 18kt gold, the letter for the year of production L (1985) and signed in full as follows, "GAGE EG .750 G. Ste. SGDG".

Elizabeth Gage 

She is a British jewelry designer and trained master goldsmith who has been creating collectable jewelry for over 50 years. She has been described by the trade as someone "whose large rings, historical references, gorgeous stones and elaborate craftsmanship set the tone for a whole generation". Elizabeth Gage works in 18 and 22 carat gold. Her 'Helios' gold necklace, featured in Tattler magazine, took 203 grams of gold and 93-man hours to create. Elizabeth’s approach to design is as unique as the jewels themselves. She combines different elements in her work which she chooses for their individual beauty; exquisite stones, ancient bronzes, beautiful carvings, baroque pearls, in fact anything where the shape and colour inspire her.

ConditionThe overall condition of these Elizabeth Gage earrings is in excellent. Besides the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The 22 gemstones are secured in the settings. This pair has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
