SPANISH TREASURE 1612 Silver 1/2 Real King Phillip III In 18Kt Gold Mounting COA

A Spanish 1/2 real coin from King Phillip III. (1598-1621).

This is a genuine and authentic Spanish silver coin of 1/2 Real struck at the Barcelona city mint in 1612 and ordered under the kingdom of Phillip III of Spain. The historic coin is mounted in a customized hand-made frame masterfully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish and fitted on top with a ring to wear in a chain. The 1/2 Real (or medio real) was a small, silver, low-denomination coin crucial to daily commerce in the Spanish Empire (roughly 1500s–1800s). Often called "cob" coins due to their irregular, hammered shape, these silver pieces (roughly 0.903 purity) were minted in Spain and the New World (Mexico, Potosí).
