Chaumet 1970 Paris Retro Cocktail Ring In 18Kt Gold With Red Coral Carvings

A rare ring designed by Chaumet.

Created by the house of Chaumet in Paris, France at the beginning of the 1970's It was crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with textured organic motifs. 

Embellished with 5 carved oval pieces of reddish coral.

This ring have a weight of 15.95 grams with an actual size of 7, can be sized. The top view measures are 31.5 mm by 26 mm (1.21 x 1.02 Inches).

Is stamped with French hallmarks: the eagle's head for the assay and guaranty of the 18 kt gold and signed "CHAUMET PARIS".

Chaumet: The French born jeweler, Marie-Etienne Ninot began his career as an assistant court-jeweler to the queen Marie Antoinette. In 1780, he moved to Paris and founded the House of Chaumet, and was appointed as jeweler to emperor Napoleon in 1802. During this period, Ninot became one of the most popular jewelers in Europe, establishing a loyal and continuous prestigious clientele. today the house remains as a luxury jewelry house under the name Chaumet Paris.
