Art-Deco 1925 Platinum Necklace With VS Diamonds & Colombian Emeralds

An art deco platinum necklace pendant.

This is a fantastic antique pendant necklace created in America during the art deco period, back in the 1925. The beautiful necklace was masterfully crafted in solid platinum and embellished with a great selection of sixty-five natural earth mined gemstones, such Colombian emeralds and European cut diamonds. The main pendant is designed with a dangle section typical from the period and the gemstones settings are finished with millegrain patterns. The necklace is fitted with the original chain and the spring ring lock. All parts are original from the stated period, including the gemstones and absolutely no replacements.

Diamonds: Mount in millegrain flush settings, with 48 European round cut diamonds, 1.92 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS/SI clarity. 

Diamonds: Mount in the center in a millegrain flush setting, with 1 European round cut diamonds, 0.60 carats, white colorless F color, VS clarity. 

Emeralds: Mount in channel settings, with 16 caliber French rectangular cuts of natural Colombian vivid green emeralds, 0.96 carats.

Birthstone: Emeralds for the month of May.

Weight: 10.20 Grams, (6.55 Dwt).

Length: 15 Inches, (38.1 Cm.). 

Measurements: 54 mm by 23 mm by 4.5 mm (2.13 x 0.91 x 0.18 Inches).

Hallmarks: Unmarked, electronically tested for .900/.999 platinum.

Millegrain 

This is a jewelry technique which refers to the textural effect of a close-set line of metal beads that are typically used as a border on the edges or bezels of jewelry.
