ANGELA CUMMINGS Modernist Cocktail Ring In 18Kt Gold Diamonds & Tourmaline
A Rare cocktail ring designed by Angela Cummings.
This is a rare vintage ring created in New York City by Angela Cummings, back in the 1983. This ring has been masterfully crafted with scalloped patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with polished finish. It is embellished on top with one natural Brazilian color-changing blue-green tourmaline and embellished around with twenty-one white colorless diamonds. As a note this ring was designed by Cummings when she has the inside-store boutique at Bergdorf Goodman, after designing for Tiffany & Co. for continuous 20 years.
Diamonds: Mounted in inlaid settings, with 21 calibrated round brilliant cut diamonds, with a total weight of about 0.53 carats, white colorless F color, VS clarity.
Tourmaline: Mount on top in a bezel setting, with 1 oval faceted cut (12 x 8 x 5 mm) of a natural Brazilian blue-green tourmaline with a weight of about of 2.82 carats.
Birthstone: Tourmaline for the month of October.
Weight: 11.30 grams, (7.25 Dwt.).
Size: 6 and may be resized up or down on special request.
Measurements: 20 mm by 12 mm (0.79 x 0.47 Inch) and raise 8 mm over the finger.
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay and warranty of the .750/.999 yellow gold and signed as follows, "©CUMMINGS 18KT".
Angela Cummings
She was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She takes her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business. This is a very nice and rare collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.

Condition: The overall condition of this Angela Cummings cocktail ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear there is no damage to the gold. The 22 gemstones are secured in the settings. This ring was carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and the authenticity.
