Convertible belt-necklace designed by Aldo Cipullo.

Very rare piece, created in New York by the iconic designer Aldo Cipullo, back in the 1970. The buckle has been crafted with modernist mariner patterns in solid .925/.999 sterling silver with hammered finish, which is attached to a double twisted white cotton ropes with two spherical finials also made up in sterling silver. This unusual piece can be wear as a belt or as a necklace as pictured.

Weight: 16.95 Grams, (10.87 Dwt).

Size: Extended length is 38 Inches, (96.55 Cm).

Measurements: The buckle is 32 mm by 62 mm by 11 mm (1.26 x 2.44 x 0.44 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the silver and signed, "© A. CIPULLO STERLING".

Aldo Cipullo 

He was an Italian born jeweler. He born and was raise in a family of designers with jewelry traditions, his father was the owner of a jewelry factory and his brother Renato Cipullo made jewelry designs for Christian Dior. Aldo, was the creator of the popular and iconic Cartier bracelets, love and the nail, still until today considered ones of the best designs of the 20th century. He work as a designer in New York, for David Webb (1960-1969) and Cartier (1969-1975). In 1975 he found his own company as a freelance designer.

ConditionThe overall condition of this piece is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the sterling. All parts are secured in their settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
