WHITING & DAVIS CO. 1920 Art-Deco Cocktail Mesh Purse In 14Kt Gold & Sterling

An oversized mesh purse designed by Whiting & Davis Co.

This is an amazing purse mesh bag created in America during the art-deco period, back in 1920 and 1925. This mesh bag has been crafted by the Whiting & Davis Co. with intricate details, with a mesh made up in .925/999 sterling silver, and yellow and rose gold of 14 karats. The mesh has been assembled creating a beautiful geometric x's patterns. It is embellished with one synthetic blue sapphire and fitted with a twelve inches chain. The frame is decorated with amazing engravings.

Whiting & Davis Company

This is a historical manufacturer of mesh handbags and jewelry, founded in 1876 as Wade Davis & Company. The company's roots trace back to a silversmith operation, evolving into a leading mesh handbag maker through automation and marketing. In 1896, Charles Whiting and Edward P.
