An extraordinary piece of Spanish silversmith, created in the city of Barcelona during the post war and the mid century periods, back in the 1960. This rectangular box is highly decorated and display fabulous. Has been carefully crafted in cedar wood and decorated with parts made up in solid .915/.999 sterling silver with high polished finish. The sterling silver panels are embellished with application of yellow gold foils topped with green glass enamel. This box has a very strong influence of the Spanish art & craft style, the neo-gothic and the unique Barcelona art nouveau style of the architect Antonio Gaudi. The lid of the box is fitted with a very secure pair of hinges.

Hallmarks: Stamped with Spanish marks; the post 1934 figure of a Star with a large B for the city of Barcelona and the warranty of the .900/.999 silver.
Condition: The overall condition of this box is very good. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the silver. All parts and the enamel are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
