SARASTRO 1929 Pforzheim Deco Everest Pocket Lighter In .925 Sterling Silver

This is a beautiful petrol pocket lighter, created in Pforzheim Germany by the Sarastro Industries Company, back in the late 1929. This lift-arm style pocket lighter is the popular Everest short model, crafted with rectangular art deco patterns in solid .925/.999 sterling silver with high polished finish. The design of the lighter is very simple and efficient.

Hallmarks: Stamped with British import marks for London, the importer mark GS associated to George Stockwell, the Gothic letter P for the assay date of 1930, the maker's model mark, the mark for the assay of the .925 silver, and signed in full as follow, "EVEREST STERLING .925".
