MARCIN PARIS 1930 By Frontin Lipstick Case Holder In Sterling & 18Kt Gold Accents

A lipstick case designed by Frontin for Marcin Paris.    

This an antique lipstick case created in Paris France during the art-deco period, back in 1930. The piece has been made at the atelier of Frontin to be retailed by the luxury store of Marcin-Paris. It was crafted in a rectangular shape in solid .900/.999 sterling with polished finish and decorated with twenty-three lozenge accents made-up in 18 karats yellow gold. Overall condition is good with few missing gold parts, but still a highly collectible piece with two great names from the French jewelry.

Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks; the maker's mark inside a lozenge cartouche associated to the goldsmith atelier of Frontin, the French eagle head mark for the assay and warranty of the 18Kt yellow gold and the mark of helmeted Minerva for the assay of the .900/.999 silver, and signed in cursive lettering as follows, "MARCIN PARIS".

Condition: The overall condition of this piece by Marcin Paris is good. Besides the little normal wear, the piece has great eye appeal. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
