Italian 1920 Renaissance Revival Enameled Octagonal Box In 800 Silver
An Italian enamelled snuff box.
Colorful box, created in Italy, back in the 1920. It was crafted in an octagonal shape with neoclassical and renaissance Revival motifs in solid .800/.999 silver and embellished with enamel applications. The predominant color is blue and the central panel is richly painted with a romantic scene of a landscape with a Shepard, three sheep and a reclined muse. Probably mythological since an arrow can be seen in the floor between the couple. The interior is gilded with 24 karats and the exterior surfaces are treated with engraved floriated patterns.

Measurements: 75 mm by 55 mm by 14 mm (2.95 x 2.17 x 0.55 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark and the mark for the assay of the silver, ".800".
Condition: The overall condition of this box is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the silver. The enamelled parts are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
