Art deco German enamel minaudière imported by Scholl Limited Co.

An exceptional art deco minaudière, imported into Glasgow England by the retailer and goldsmiths, Scholl Limited Company in 1924. This beautiful multifunctional piece has been crafted in Vienna Austria in solid .925/.999 sterling silver and embellished with applications of black and vivid red glass enamel. Fitted in the interior with three compartments with hinged lids and a rectangular mirror with gilt finish. The exteriors are decorated with neo classic patterns and fitted with a push button.

Weight: 186.30 Grams, (119.42 Dwt).

Measurements: 86 mm by 40 mm by 26 mm (3.40 x 1.57 x 1.02 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with British crown marks, the post 1904 import mark for the city of Glasgow, the sponsor's mark S. Ltd, associated to Scholl Limited Co., several times with the mark for the assay of the silver .925, and the inventory numbers 699519.

Collateral: This minaudière is accompanied with the original black handle cord and the black silk tassel with the proper knots.

Condition: The overall condition of this minaudiere is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the silver. All parts are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
