French scent bottle with gemstones.

Gorgeous antique scent perfume bottle, created in Paris France during the imperial period of Napoleon III, back in the 1860. This exceptional bottle, flask, flacon was carefully made in clear glass and surmounted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats. The gold parts are embellished with engraved classic patterns and accented with black enamel. The bottle is fitted with a gold collar, a flat base and three barrels hinged lid, which are engraved with incised classic and organic patterns and decorated with several fleur De Lys. The gold mountings are embellished with nine gemstones, such one big red garnet and eight white pearls. 

Rubies: Mount on top in a bezel setting, with 1 round cabochon cut (17 x 17 x 6 mm) of a vivid red garnet with a weight of about 18.73 carat.

Pearls: Mount in bezel settings, with 8 round natural white pearl of 3 mm.

Birthstone: Garnets for the month of January and pearls for June.

Weight: 43.20 Grams, (27.69 Dwt).

Measurements: 28 mm by 28 mm x 89 mm (1.10 x 1.10 x 3.51 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks, twice with the head of the eagle for the assay and guaranty of the 18kt gold.

Condition: The overall condition of this scent bottle is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no marks to the gold. All gemstones and parts are secured in the settings. This bottle has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
