FRENCH 1820 Fabulous Perfume Bottle Carved Rock Quartz Mount In .850 Sterling
French scent bottle carved in rock quartz.
This is a gorgeous antique scent perfume bottle created in Paris during the French restoration period, back in 1820. This exceptional bottle, flask, flacon was carefully carved with parts in translucent rock quartz and surmounted with parts masterfully crafted in solid .850/.999 sterling silver. The silver parts depict Italianate Baroque patterns with engraved, chiseled and incised classic patterns of garlands attached to four Solomonic columns with intricate capitals. These parts show partial gildings. The bottle is fitted with a concealed five-barrel hinge a snap mechanical lock system and the interior lid in the shape of a pigeon. Surely back in time this was a very luxury item, a masterpiece that will display wonderful in a cabinet of curiosities and rare Object De Vertu.

Condition: The overall condition of this French scent bottle is very good to excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no marks to the silver and all parts are secured in the settings. This bottle was carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
Note: The rock quartz shows a little hairline that not detract and is not broken.
