EDWARDIAN 1905 British Antique Foldable Double Loupes Pendant In Polished Brass

A British double loupes pendant from the Edwardian Period.

This is a beautiful continental foldable double loupes pendant created in England during the Edwardian period, back in the 1905. The loupe has been crafted in solid bronze with high polished finish and feature two graduated magnifiers glasses. It is fitted with hinged systems for retractions and a small movable ring on top to wear in a chain.

The Edwardian period

This period roughly span between 1901 and 1910, is characterized by a shift from the ornate, heavy Victorian style to a lighter, more refined aesthetic in furniture and architecture. Woods like mahogany, along with lighter materials such as bamboo and wicker, became popular, reflecting the era's preference for a breezy, delicate look.
