PORTUGUESE 1930 Porto Art Deco Tank Bracelet In Rich 19.2Kt Yellow Gold

A Portuguese textured chain made in the city of Porto.

This a fabulous tank bracelet, created in the city of Porto in Portugal during the art deco period, circa 1930's. The geometric bracelet is very substantial and has been carefully crafted in rich yellow gold of 19.2 karats with textured and polished finishes. Fitted with a concealed push box lock and a security chain in 18kt for extra safety. This is a very unusual bracelet and a great survivor collector's item. It is in impeccable condition with no dents, bumps or marks. Retains all the original antique rich patina intact.

Hallmarks: Stamped with Portuguese control marks; the cat's head with the 800 for the assay and the guaranty of the 19.2 kt gold, the cartouche mark for the city of Porto and the maker's mark letters.

Portuguese Gold Hallmarks

The gold mark used in Portugal from 1938-1984 depict a cat's head with a tongue sticking out. inside a rectangular frame. This means it was crafted in the city of Porto. Ref: Page 212 of world hallmarks. The jewelry pieces marked 800, reflect the assay of the 19.2 kt gold, in this case an alloy purity of .800/.999.

Collateral: This bracelet is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
