French art-deco retro tank bracelet.

This is a great tank bracelet, created in Paris France during the transitional periods of the art deco to the retro, back in the 1935-1940. The unusual bracelet has been crafted and assembled with beautiful geometric patterns of the machine-age, in solid yellow gold of 18 karat with high polished finish. Fitted with a concealed push boxed lock and a hinged figure 8 slash for extra safety. The design is composed by eleven geometric tracks elements, attached together by concealed hinges.

Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks; two times, with the national eagle's head mark for the assay and warranty of the 18kt gold and the maker's mark.

Note: immediately after the first world war, the creation of jewelry with geometric patterns inspired by the tracks of the war tanks became very fashionable. The synthesis of these designs were adapted during the art deco period and after the post-war.
