Enameled cocktail ring designed by Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co.

Beautiful colorful piece, created in New York city by Jean Schlumberger at the Tiffany Studios, back in the late 1960's. This rare organic cocktail ring has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and embellished with applications of white hot enamel.

Mount on top, with one oval cabochon cut (15 x 12 x 10 mm) of a natural lapis lazuli of 11.08 carats.

Has a total weight of 19.4 Grams and the actual size is 4.5, sizeable. The top view measurements are 22mm by 24mm and raise 16mm over the finger.

Stamped, with the maker's mark, the gold assay hallmark, the serial numbers and signed in full, "TIFFANY & CO. SCHLUMBERGER 395 18 KT".

Jean Schlumberger, was asked in 1956 by the president of Tiffany & Co. Walter Hovin to begin designing for the firm. He had his own workshop at the company until his retirement in the late 1970's and was eventually made vice president of the company. Schlumberger design's at tiffany were remarkable for their whimsical interpretation of natural forms. He was especially inspired by the sea creatures and others animals. He was an exceptional designer, jeweler and a master enameller.

Note: This ring is very rare and has been never mass produced, we cannot track any other similar.

It is in perfect condition, with pristine enamel.
