Beautiful and iconic piece, made in Paris France at the atelier of Schlumberger for the Tiffany studios. Designed as a orangerie paillonné hinged bangle bracelet, crafted with articulated links in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and embellished with applications of vivid orange hot enamel. Suited with a push lock and a security pin for extra safety.
Mounted around, with 108 bezels (collet-set) that are mounted with round brilliant cut diamonds, 5.96 carats, F color, VS-1 / VS-2 clarity.
Has a total weight of 115.8 Grams and fit a wrist up to 7 Inches (17.75 Cm). The width measure is 18mm (0.70 Inch).
It is stamped, with the French national eagle's head for the assay and the guaranty of the 18kt gold, the maker's mark, and signed in full, "TIFFANY & CO. SCHLUMBERGER STD. .750 FRANCE".
Jean Schlumberger, was asked in 1956 by the president of Tiffany & Co. Walter Hovin to begin designing for the firm. He had his own workshop at the company until his retirement in the late 1970's and was eventually made vice president of the company. Schlumberger design's at tiffany were remarkable for their whimsical interpretation of natural forms. He was especially inspired by the sea creatures and others animals. He was an exceptional designer, jeweler and a master enameller. Since 1956 Jean Schlumberger has collaborated with Tiffany and Co. to create some of the world's most coveted and fashionable jewelry.
