Gorgeous art deco convertible brooch with diamonds.
Incredible piece from the American art-deco period, circa 1930's. it was carefully crafted with impeccable details in solid .900/,999 platinum and .100/.999 iridium.
This brooch can be converted into two clips, to wear separate. Each piece is suited at the reverse, with two pair of double hinged vertical pins and a single horizontal bar with a trombone lock to wear together.
The entire surface is fully mounted with 218 gradated round brilliant cuts of natural diamonds. All gemstones are calibrated with a total combined weight of 13.26 carats, white colorless F/G/H and VS clarity, as usual.
The gem's settings are finished with millegrain patterns and the specific diamonds sizes, weights and cuts are described as follow;
6 larger round cuts (average .12-.15), 0.60 cts.
189 medium round cuts (average .05-.10), 11.56 cts.
22 small round cuts (average .03-.05) 1.11 cts.
It is pretty heavy and large, with a total weight of 47.95 grams and a combined measures of 72 mm by 47 mm (2.82 x1.85 inches).
